Tour Plan
Arusha to Serengeti National Park – Scenic Journey into the Wild
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short safari briefing, you’ll set off on a scenic drive toward the Serengeti (approximately 6–7 hours), passing through the beautiful highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Along the way, enjoy ever-changing landscapes—from cultivated farmland to dramatic escarpments and vast open plains. As you descend into the Serengeti, the scenery opens up into the iconic savannah that stretches endlessly to the horizon.
Arrive in the Seronera region, known for its rich concentration of wildlife and year-round game viewing. After lunch at your lodge or camp, head out for your first afternoon game drive.
This initial safari introduces you to the Serengeti’s incredible biodiversity. You may encounter elephants grazing peacefully, hippos wallowing in pools, giraffes browsing acacia trees, and predators such as lions or leopards resting in the shade. As the sun sets, the golden light enhances the beauty of the landscape and creates ideal conditions for photography.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti – Big Five & Migration Tracking
Today is dedicated to a full-day wildlife safari in Serengeti National Park, giving you ample time to explore different habitats and maximize wildlife sightings.
After an early breakfast, set out with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive. The morning hours are especially rewarding, as predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are often active before the heat of the day. Your guide will track wildlife movements, taking you to areas with the best chances of sightings.
The Serengeti is home to a remarkable diversity of animals, including large herds of wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, and antelopes. You may also spot elusive leopards resting in trees or cheetahs scanning the plains for prey.
Depending on the time of year, you may witness part of the Great Migration, where thousands of animals move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. This natural spectacle is one of the most extraordinary wildlife events on Earth.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, before continuing your afternoon game drive. The vast landscapes, dotted with kopjes and acacia trees, provide a stunning backdrop for wildlife viewing throughout the day.
Return to your lodge in the late afternoon or evening for dinner and relaxation, reflecting on a day filled with incredible encounters.
Sunrise Safari (Optional Balloon) & Return to Arusha
Begin your final day with an early start, offering one last opportunity to experience the Serengeti at its most peaceful and active. You may opt for a sunrise hot air balloon safari (pre-booking required), a truly unique experience that allows you to glide silently above the plains as wildlife moves below. This is followed by a special bush breakfast in the wilderness.
Alternatively, enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge before checking out.
Afterward, begin your journey back to Arusha (approximately 6–7 hours), retracing your route through the Ngorongoro highlands and scenic countryside. Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to stop for photos and enjoy the changing landscapes one last time.
Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your onward flight.
