Tour Plan

Day 1

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park – Scenic Journey & First Wildlife Encounters

Your safari begins with a warm welcome and pick-up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a short briefing, you’ll set off on a scenic drive south toward Amboseli National Park, a journey of approximately 4–5 hours through Kenya’s rural landscapes.

As you approach the park, the terrain opens into vast plains, and on a clear day, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro rises dramatically on the horizon. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, enjoy a relaxing lunch, and take in your first views of the surrounding wilderness.

In the late afternoon, head out for your first game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen moving gracefully across the plains. You may also encounter lions resting in the grass, giraffes browsing on acacia trees, zebras grazing in herds, and buffaloes scattered across the savannah.

As the sun sets, the landscape is bathed in golden light, creating perfect conditions for photography before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Game Drives in Amboseli – Wildlife & Cultural Experience

Today is dedicated to exploring Amboseli in depth with both morning and afternoon game drives. Early morning is the best time for wildlife viewing, as animals are active and the light is soft and clear.

You’ll explore the park’s diverse habitats, including open plains, seasonal swamps, and dry lake beds. The swamps attract elephants, hippos, and a wide variety of birdlife, while the open areas are ideal for spotting predators like cheetahs and lions.

After returning to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation, head out again in the afternoon for another game drive. This allows you to explore different areas of the park and increase your chances of spotting a wider range of wildlife.

Alternatively, you may visit a local Maasai village, where you’ll learn about traditional customs, daily life, and the deep cultural connection between the Maasai people and their land.

End your day with dinner and a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Arrive in Lake Nakuru in the afternoon and head out for a game drive. The park is famous for its birdlife, especially flamingos (seasonal), and is one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos.

You may also spot Rothschild’s giraffes, waterbucks, lions, and elusive leopards as you explore the park’s woodlands and open grasslands.

Continue to Crescent Island, where you’ll enjoy a unique walking safari. This is one of the few places in Kenya where you can walk freely among wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes in a safe, predator-free environment.

The experience offers incredible opportunities for photography and a more intimate connection with nature.
